My dear Sir:
In further reply to your letter of July 24th I wish to say that I am writing to Supt. West this morning offering to help him from the Rosenwald Fund on a new building that is to be erected at Shady Grove. However, we can not allow more than $400 towards a one-teacher school. You will observe this by referring to the plan of giving which my secretary sent you.
I do hope that the school board and the colored people together will bend all their energies toward getting this school for the people in that community.
With all good wishes, I am
Very truly yours,
