Louisa County Court Office to wit
Jane Robertson ( a woman of colour) emancipated by the Last Will & Testament of James Johnson deceased, late of this county this day made application to be registered in said office according to the act of assembly in that case made & provided, the said Jane Robertson is about twenty one years of age, yellowish complexion, bushy head of hair, five feet six Inches high, no apparent mark or scar. Given under my hand this 11.th day of July 1816 (Sig.) John Poindexter C.L.C.-certif.d at Aug.t Court 1816

Louis Clerks Office to wit
James, a negro man, emancipated by the Last Will and Testament of Christopher Wood dec.d, late of said County This day made application to be registered in the said office, agreeably to the provisions of an act of the General Assembly of Virginia, in that case made & provided. The said James is supposed to be about forty years of age, about five feet nine Inches high, dark complexion, bushy head of hair, with a small scar above the left eye, which said register, taken as aforesaid, is duly recorded in the Said office, Given under my hand the 18.th day of March 1817 (Sig.) John Poindexter C.L.C.-Fee paid
