Title
Quail Home Demonstration Club
Description
Home demonstration clubs sprang up all across Virginia led by Home Demonstration Agents employed by the state. These groups became vital sources of female companionship, education about food preservation and productions, and how to create more nutritious and attractive meals. As one can see in this photo, the clubs welcomed all generations of women. Perfectly designed for rural women, the clubs continued well into the later years of the 20th century.
