John King son of Polly King who said John, was born free, this day made application to be registered according to Law, It is therefore certified to all whom it may concern, that the said John is a black man about five feet six inches high, about twenty one years old, has a mole on the lower part of the back of the neck, a high forehead, good countenance, and no other apparent mark or scar deemed worthy of notice.
