Title
White School Daily Registry
Subject
Mineral District No. 1
Description
This registry demonstrates the attendance of Robert B. Winston's first grade class at the white school in Mineral. There are many patterns found in the registry. Boys attended school less frequently than girls and were fewer in number. Students also missed multiple days at a time, instead of having their absences spread out over the month. If a student lived closer to school, they were more likely to attend. In the winter, enrollment increased which could be the result of growing season ending. The ages in the class spanned between eighteen and eleven, with younger students more likely to attend. For the month of October, Mr. Winston received a salary of 33 dollars.
